NCHFH is seeking a creative leader who will develop ongoing monetary resources and long term volunteer relationships through dynamic community networking and successful grant writing. In FY2011, Responsible for procuring funding to build Community Resource Room, developing and managing the Youth United Program, VISTA program, and Thrivent Builds with Habitat program, updating and managing Keystone Database, managing affiliate Public Relations. (Mid-year review in November 2010 will evaluate adding Church Relations responsibility).

FY 2011 Projects:
  • Grant Writing - ongoing
  • Public Relations- ongoing
  • Youth United – April 2010- June 2011
  • VISTA Site Manager April 2010-October 2010
  • KeyStone Database Main Administrator– October 2010-June2011
  • (Church Relations Jan 2011-June 2011*TBD if feasible in Nov 2010)
Specific Responsibilities include:
  • Grant Writing:
    • Committee: Development>Grant Seeking subcommittee
    • Research, identify, write and manage grant writing fundraising effort in alignment with affiliate development goals.
    • Develop, maintain and manage Grant writing committee.
  • Public Relations:
    • Committee: Development Public Relations subcommittee
    • Establish, recruit, train and manage committee volunteers.
    • Develop and maintain strategic contacts with media.
    • Invite media to special occasions.
    • Place ads, press releases, public service announcements, etc.
    • Develop, create, maintain and manage promotional material for NCHFH affiliate.
      • Brochures
      • Newsletters (online)
      • Special event flyers
    • Maintain, enhance and further develop NCHFH website as a vehicle for receiving donations and communicating effectively with public.
  • Thrivent Builds with Habitat Program
    • Affiliate Program Manager
    • Key Habitat staff liaison for Thrivent Committee
    • Ensure reporting requirements are met
    • Coordinate TBH events with Thrivent Committee and Habitat affiliate
  • Youth United Program:
    • Committee: Youth United
    • Develop NCHFH Youth United Program goals and objectives for FY2011
    • Define Youth United Committee goals, objectives and activities
    • Identify key adult and youth committee members from each public and private High School in Coweta County and surrounding areas.
  • Establish individual Habitat Clubs/Committees within each school
    • One (or more) adult leader, point of contact within each school
    • Five (or more) youth members from each school
    • Key members of each club will be active members representing each school at NCHFH Youth United Central Committee.
  • Identify and work directly with Adult Youth Committee Chair to implement fundraising objectives and timelines for youth.
  • VISTA Site Manager:
    • Affiliate POC for AmeriCorps programs
    • Manage and Supervise AmeriCorps VISTA member
    • Create and update VISTA member VAD
    • Ensure VISTA member follows through on VAD
    • Ensure all reports submitted in timely manner
    • Ensure site compliance requirements are met.
  • Keystone Database Main Administrator: *after AmeriCorps VISTA program ends.
    • Update and manage database as needed. Includes the following:
      • Monthly Scan DB
      • Monthly merging and purging duplicate names
      • Adding categories as needed
      • Training key staff/volunteers as needed
      • Troubleshooting with staff and MTD as needed
  • Church Relations (TBD in November2010)
Schedule: 35 hour/week

Salary:  $30,000-$35,000 annual salary based on experience

  Retail Warehouse Supervisor
 
The Newnan Habitat ReStore Retail Warehouse Supervisor will report directly to the ReStore Manager. The Retail Warehouse Supervisor is a “hands on” position and is primarily responsible for receiving, processing and stocking donated items, assures the sales floor is running effectively and efficiently and is responsible for leading volunteers and other assigned personnel in designated projects.

Mission: The Newnan-Coweta Habitat for Humanity ReStore’s primary mission is to raise funds to purchase building materials and services needed to build simple, decent and affordable Habitat homes in Coweta County.

Responsibilities of the Retail Warehouse Supervisor are listed below but not limited to:
  • Receive and screen donations according to current policies and provide professional service to our donors
  • Research, price and stock inventory according to procedure
  • Keep donation area and sales floor clean, organized and in safe conditions for our customers and volunteers
  • Supervise, lead and work directly with volunteers, court-ordered community service workers and other volunteer groups to keep them mindful of our policies, procedures and of our mission
  • Must be passionate about Habitat and its mission(s)
  • Demonstrate suburb retail customer interaction and service
  • Keep all merchandise organized and rearranged as needed
  • Assure that all recycled items such as metal, aluminum, electronics, computers and plastics are recycled properly
  • Maintain and help build merchandise displays
  • Basic facility maintenance and repair
  • Assist collection driver on donation pickups as needed
  • Carry out any projects ReStore Manager may assign
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years retail experience is a must before summiting resume
  • Good physical health and have the ability to lift 50 Lbs. on a consistent basis
  • Follows directions and accepts guidance on tasks but also able to use own judgment to adjust for extenuating circumstances
  • Exemplify management skills to supervise a diverse group of volunteers on a daily basis
  • Ability to research online
  • Warehouse experience preferred but not required
Schedule:  30-35 hours per week, primarily morning shift, Tuesday through Saturday 9AM-3PM, but may be asked to work an afternoon shift on occasion

Salary:  $8.25-$9.00/hr depending on experience
