Acceptable Donation Items

 

Before you schedule your donation pick-up, please review the following criteria and guidelines. The ReStore collects donations Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 4:30 pm. Our ReStore Driver has the authority to decline donations that do not meet the standards identified below.

Donations that are retrieved and sold in our ReStore help further the mission of building decent and affordable homes in Coweta County. We appreciate your donations and thank you in advance for your support of Newnan-Coweta Habitat for Humanity, Inc.

 

All donated items for pick-up must be:

​

  • In good condition and free of rips, stains, odors and/or major scratches.

  • Please make every attempt to have items on the ground floor or in a garage so that our ReStore driver has easy accessibility to retrieve your items. If you have loose items, please bundle prior to pick up.

Items we accept:

​

​​Appliances, building materials, doors, windows, cabinets, electronics, household goods, and sporting equipment.

​​

Items we do not accept:​

​

We do not accept any broken, torn, stained, or hazardous items, no bedding, and no clothing/shoes. Please see below for a more detailed list of items we do not accept.

Flooring

  • Stained or hair-covered carpeting

  • Carpets under 10x10 feet

  • Used carpets

​

Miscellaneous

  • Items that are deemed hazardous to customers or staff (broken, frayed wires, nails out, etc.)

  • Items that are ripped, stained, damaged, or have an odor

  • Unassembled exercise equipment

  • Unframed glass or mirrors

  • Curtains or vinyl blinds

  • Car or booster seats

  • Used cans of paint

  • Shiny brass lighting

  • Pianos or organs

  • Used helmets

  • Chemicals

  • Clothing

Kitchen & Bathroom

  • Corian double sinks without cabinets

  • Offset sinks with countertop

  • Toilets over 1.6 gallon flush

  • Formica countertops

  • Seashell sinks

Furniture

  • Metal or particle board desks

  • Mattresses or box springs

  • Entertainment centers

  • Sleeper sofas

  • Floral sofas

  • Hutch tops

  • Baby beds

  • Bunk beds

  • Futons

Electronics

  • Outdated computer equipment

  • Tube or projection TVs

  • Printers

​

Appliances

  • Appliances over 10 years old

  • Broken appliances
